Michelle Rocks the Dress!

Trash the dress? No, not this one! Michelle was so excited that after 3 years and a baby, she still fit into her wedding dress. Nevermind the fact that the dress barely fit inside my car! What started off as a Rock the Dress session quickly led into a dual Bridal Portrait shoot! We wormed our way through town to various locations to capture these images-of which I had a terrible time sifting through to share with everyone. I love so many of them-there could easily be 50 pictures in this post. I have resisted, and gone through them with a fine tooth comb. Enjoy these previews of Michelle's 2nd Chance/Bridal Session!!
Too ironic to not show off! "I know we said Trash the Dress-but I didn't know you meant it literally!" Michelle said as we were walking towards the area the dumpster was.

Michelle is SMOKIN hot!!

The staircase above was a winding one...that lead to a couple of rooftops!
We could not resist!

A Girl Named Becky

So my friend Becky came over the other day, and she did some modeling for me while I worked on lighting and such. It is always nice to have a friend willing to be my guinea pig and Becky was up for being put in and on weird places with a smile on her face. If you are thinking of scheduling a Senior Session, you should be ready to have fun, express yourself, and put yourself in places you wouldn't go everyday! Depending on your personality and true colors, we will travel all over town or wherever you and I think would be fun! Feel free to send me an email, leave a blog comment, or give me a call if you have any questions about sessions or want to talk more about scheduling! And of course, thanks to Becky for being my guinea pig! Enjoy!

Asher's Debut

Meet Asher, this adorable little 11 day old bundle of happiness! His mommy is one of my little sisters in my sorority, and it was such a pleasure and privilege to take her newborn baby's pictures. For 2 whole hours, this little guy whimpered, yawned, wiggled, and more...but did not fall asleep! It wasn't until the last few photos that he started to get fussy-as it was time for him to eat. I got to try out some new props and all in all just enjoy this cutie and his parents! Cara & Jason-enjoy this preview!

Relay for Life

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of being the official photographer for Relay for Life, Baldwin County. I was the team captain for my school, but offered my services in order to capture some of the major moments. Relay was tons of fun this year! If you didn't make it, you missed out. Aside from lots of music, games, and homemade tasty treats, the purpose of R4L remains the we all were there. Finding a cure for cancer brings so many community members together all over the world, and we are so much closer to finding that cure with every dollar raised. The event started off with an Easter Egg Hunt for all the kids, followed by the survivor lap, the parade of teams, a singer/songwriter performance, the luminary remembrance ceremony, and so much more! Enjoy a few photos from the 2009 Baldwin County Relay for Life!

Daddy's Mirror Image

Is she not the cutest thing ever? Little Miss Savannah came by for a visit yesterday and I swear-she is the spitting image of her Daddy. She is getting so darn big and if it's possible, cuter every time I see her! Savannah is running all over the place, and loves the outdoors almost as much as her Daddy does. In between playing and talking to the dogs we have, I was able to get a few good shots of this cutie. Enjoy!

"We Don't See This In The City"

It's a well-known fact that I am a city girl gone country. It is almost daily that I am exposed to something just a little more 'redneck' or 'truly southern' and today was no different. My cousin and I drove out to the Sinclair Dam this afternoon with hopes that the flood gates were open. Sure enough-4 gates were all the way open and billowing water down the backside of the dam. After giving up on our shoes (news flash: apparently the new big thing this season is to wear patterned rain boots...we-however-wore sneakers and dress clogs), we walked through the puddles and mud to get some shots. Between her holding the umbrella for me and my camera being carried around inside my coat-we were able to protect my gear. As for the river, I was astonished to see that everywhere we were the previous day was now completely underwater! Anyways, it was cool to see the clouds of mist and the swirls of water...and experience what we determined was a pretty redneck thing to do (you should have seen the big-wheeled trucks pulling in as we left)! One of the Code Enforcement Officers and a Baldwin Co. Sheriff came to watch the water too. Enjoy the pictures-they do not do justice to how awesome it really was!
